Our Wedding

At The University of Kentucky I met a wonderful man named Ryan in the summer after my sophomore year. It actually turned out that we had met my freshman year, but didn’t really know it. The summer of 2000 we lived across the courtyard from each other in an apartment complex where his roommates tormented me and my sorority sister roommates with tennis balls and footballs…can we say middle school flirting?!! As the summer progressed we found out that we had originally met through a mutual friend in 1998. After much conversation we actually discovered that his father and I went to the same high school in Sioux City, Iowa and his cousin was a senior at that same high school when I was a freshman…can we say small world??!!!

Needless to say we had an instant connection. We planned an April 28, 2007 wedding after Ryan proposed in 2006 with the wonderful help of Pama Rutledge at Berry Hills Country Club in Charleston, WV and the rest is history!
